Starting a fashion brand or launching a new capsule collection can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to production.
At Kaleem A. Iverson Fashion Studio, we specialize in small production runs, offering tailored support to independent designers, start-ups, and established brands seeking flexibility.
This FAQ is designed to answer the most common questions we receive about small production manufacturing, timelines, minimums and sustainable options; so you can plan with confidence and focus on what really matters: your creative vision.
1. What is the minimum and maximum order quantity for production?
We start from only 15 pieces per design, making it ideal for emerging brands or limited collections. There is no maximum quantity, we scale production according to your needs.
2. Do you offer sample development before starting the production?
Absolutely. We strongly recommend starting with sample development. It ensures design accuracy and gives you the chance to test fit, construction, and overall look before mass production begins.
3. Can you help with fabric sourcing and material selection?
Yes. Whether you’re looking for eco-friendly, luxury, or specialty fabrics, we work with a wide network of trusted supplier all based in ITALY. We support your creative direction and budget by sourcing materials that align with your collection’s vision.
4. How long does it take to produce a small batch of garments?
Production time depends on garment complexity, quantity, and fabric availability. Here’s an average breakdown:
Basic styles (e.g., t-shirts, hoodies): 3–6 weeks
Mid-level complexity (e.g., blazers, dresses with lining): 4–7 weeks
High complexity (e.g., tailored suits, specialty fabrics): 6–9+ weeks
We always provide a clear production timeline to help you plan ahead. Tight on deadlines? Let us know and we’ll do our best to meet them.
5. Do you provide pattern-making and grading as part of the production process?
Pattern-making and grading are charged separately. We do this intentionally, allowing you to test your designs and the market before moving into full production.
This flexibility is especially helpful for start-ups and brands seeking proof of concept.
6. Can you provide custom branding, such as labels and packaging?
Yes! We can take care of custom labels, tags, packaging, and more. We help elevate your brand image with professional branding solutions.
7. Do you work with sustainable or eco-friendly materials?
Yes. Sustainability is important to us and many of our suppliers offer high-quality sustainable fabrics, including:
Silk from Lake Como
Wool from Biella
Organic cotton, recycled polyesters, and more
We’re happy to guide you in choosing eco-friendly materials for your collection.
